Grenada situated to the north of Trinidad and Tobago, is one of the most interesting islands of the Caribbean where it provides more than just typical Caribbean beauty, atmosphere and relaxation. Known as the ‘Isle of Spice’ it is favoured by natives and visitors alike and boasts some of the most beautiful dive sites, white sandy beaches inviting you to dip into their crystal clear waters, opportunities to laze and take in the amazing scenery and culture or be more active and discover the historic architecture and the rare wildlife of the rainforests.

Wherever you go, Grenada will provide something to suit everyone. As you set foot on Grenada, you will notice the scent of vanilla, cocoa and various spices permeating the air. Holding the accolade for having more spices per square mile than anywhere else in the world, it sets the atmosphere beautifully for you to sample the traditional West Indian food, freshly caught shellfish, stews of meat, vegetables, fish and coconut milk. Enjoy the locally brewed beer, whiskey or rum.

Attractions

Grand Etang National Park - One of the most popular places on the island invites you to experience the fabulous crater lake, surrounded by lush rainforests in the central highlands. This is a protected area due to the hive of activity from wildlife to the stunning tropical scenery. Lower down in altitude you will explore the dry forest reserve, an area of spectacular beauty.

Carriacou - The second largest isle in the Grenada nation approximately 13 square miles in size and is accessible by a scenic boat trip made daily from the main island Grenada. It boasts wave cut coral and shoal formations and provides a fabulous experience. See the islands volcanic black sand beaches near the Harvey Vale and white coral sand beaches in its main village of Hillsborough. Sample the water of ‘Constant Springs’ providing rejuvenation and healthful properties.

For the more active, try the tour of the High North Peak. At 956 feet, it is the highest elevation of Carriacou and it provides sights such as land tortoises, iguanas and various birds. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
