A visit to Montego Bay in the summer will reveal the World’s Greatest Reggae Festival, bringing together thousands of music lovers to experience once-in-a-lifetime performances by reggae’s top artistes. Activities

Ocho Rios lies on Jamaica’s north coast and stretches for 18 miles around a beautiful bay where the shores are reputed to be the best on the island; here the beaches are ideal for swimming and all water sports. Climate

Jamaica is a destination that can be enjoyed year-round, with an average temperature of 27C. The summer months of May to September are warmer than the winter months of December to March. Winter is usually warm by day and mild to cool by night whilst summer months are hotter.

While the country as a whole experiences only a little variation between seasons, the weather in Jamaica changes the most dramatically with altitude. Moving inwards from the tropical climate in the coastal regions, a more temperate zone greets you in the highland regions of the Jamaican interior - the country's highest peak is 7402 feet or 2256 meters above sea level.
