Attractions

About 80 miles south of Cancun lies Tulum, on the south east coast if Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The relaxing, quiet resort of Tulum is famous for its stunning Mayan ruins perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Relax on the expansive sandy beach, explore the Xel-Ha ecological park or visit the clifftop ruins and take in a spectacular Mexican sunset.

Activities

Cozumel is perfect for scuba diving and caters for all, from experienced divers to complete beginners; the warm pacific shores are the ideal place to learn. Along the coast of Cozumel there are intriguing reefs just waiting to be explored, beneath the ocean’s surface there is a wealth of marine life, explore cliffs and canyons, swim along with schools of angel fish and other sea life looking for food.

Divers from around the world head to Puerto Vallarta where scuba diving is a rare treat, a real adventure. Many of the nearby bays and islands have been designated protected underwater national parks, such as Los Arcos, Majahuitas. Head to Puerto Vallarta scuba diving between December and April and you may catch a glimpse of humpback whales as they migrate to warmer seas, these mammals share the seas with dolphins, whale sharks, sea turtles and scores of tropical fish.


Climate

Weather in Mexico varies from region to region, winter months run from November to May and the summer months from June to October. Mexico boasts a relatively mild climate year-round. Coastal temperatures vary from those inland, in summer inland areas seldom get hotter than 72F whilst coastal regions often exceed 92F. Throughout the winter months, coastal areas become drier and humidity and temperature levels decrease with temperatures dropping no lower than 65F, by contrast inland the temperature can fall as low as 40F in some parts.
