The Hotel
Allamanda Beach Hotel is a 50 room property located on the picturesque south coast of Barbados. Near to restaurants, nightclubs, entertainment activities and banks, the hotel is directly opposite Hastings Plaza where there is some duty free shopping. Some of the islands best swimming is at the world famous Rockley Beach, which is just a four-minute stroll from Allamanda. Situated just 3 minutes drive from our sister hotel Amaryllis Beach Resort, a 150-room 4-star property, located on the fabulous Palm Beach in the Garrison Historic area, with safe swimming, excellent snorkeling and free non-motorized water sports. These facilities are also available for Allamanda guests.

Allamanda is about 4 minutes drive from the 9-hole Rockley hotel golf course, 10 minutes drive from the capital city of Bridgetown, 15 minutes drive from the 18-hole championship golf course, Barbados Golf Club (our parent company is part owner of BGC) and 20 minutes drive from the airport. The hotel is located on the main bus route and a taxi service is always available.

**Please Note**
The boardwalk construction directly in front of the Allamanda Beach Hotel has been completed with only landscaping left to be planted along the edge of the boardwalk. All major construction works and beach expansion is completed. The boardwalk is still in construction along other areas of the coast and the official opening for public use is not scheduled until December 22nd 2008, guests of Allamanda will therefore not have access to the new boardwalk of the new beach until the official opening. This access restriction this does not affect any ocean views for guests.

Accommodation
Allamanda Beach has 50 rooms all with balconies with beautiful ocean views. 36 rooms overlook the swimming pool as well as the ocean. All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, shaver outlet, iron and ironing board and cable TV. Our phones have voice mail and allow internet access.

Studios (up to 3 persons): Air conditioned rooms, consist of twin/queen beds, fully equipped kitchenette with refrigerator and stove, private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, telephone (international direct dial) with voicemail & data port, television (cable), ironing kit, in-room safe (additional charge), large patio or balcony over-looking the ocean.

Bars & Restaurants
Allamanda Restaurant overlooks the pool with a view of the ocean. The menu is varied offering "Bajan" cuisine as well as traditional dishes. Allamanda's Beach Grill is situated directly on the beachfront. This facility provides a varied snack and grill menu.

Almond Tree Restaurant
Enjoy international and Caribbean cuisine by the pool, or join in on barbeque buffets, rum punch parties, live entertainment and dancing under the stars to the music of local bands.

Turtle Nest Beach Bar
Located on the eastern beachfront side of Amaryllis Beach Resort hotel, you can enjoy a tropical drink or light grilled lunch.

39 Steps
39 Steps Restaurant and Wine Bar is located in the Chattel Plaza within Amaryllis Beach Resort. 39 Steps is a classy restaurant renowned for excellent food and is open for dinner and sometimes offers lunch. You can enjoy your meal in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant or you can look down on the lovely gardens of the Resort from the picturesque balcony.

Pizzaz
Barbeque chicken, spare ribs, freshly made pasta, French fries, rotis, submarine sandwiches, garlic bread, fish & chips, hamburgers and we make a pretty good pizza too!

The 19th Hole Café
The 19th Hole Café is at the Chattel Plaza in Amaryllis beach resort. Take a break from your play of St. Andrew in the Virtual Golf facility and choose from a range of snacks. Refresh yourself and get ready to play the back 9

Recreation & Facilities
A daily housekeeping service is provided. As a environmentally oriented hotel we ask that guests follow the in-room instructions regarding the linen in your room.

Currency exchange is available at the Front Desk. Beach towels are provided free of charge using a voucher system. This means that lost towels are charged to guest folio.

Car Rentals
Car Rental is not a problem. The Car Rental Desk can arrange a hire of any type of vehicle - open, so that you can sunbathe while you drive or air-conditioned so that you are cooled against the Caribbean heat.

Boat Trips
You can enjoy a catamaran cruise along the exotic west coast of the island or enjoy the boisterous atmosphere of the island's only pirate cruise on the Jolly Roger.

As our sister hotel is part owner of the Barbados Golf Club, guests receive a 15% discount on all green fees.

The original Barbados Golf and Country Club was designed and built in 1974 by the notable architect Col. J. Harris. For more than 20 years it has laid sleeping and awaiting its rebirth. On September 1st 2000 the redesigned and completely reconstructed Barbados Golf Club reopened as Barbados' first public Championship golf course. The 6,805 yard par 72 golf course has been approved and sanctioned by the PGA European Tour to host a PGA Seniors Tournament in 2002.

Helicopter Tours
Fly around the island on the Bajan Helicopter. The air conditioned helicopters provide a unique way to discover the beauty of Barbados and you can get great photographs and video.

Submarine Tour
Take a trip inside a real submarine to a depth of 150 ft below the surface! A dive with Atlantis Submarines gives you a spectacular look at the coral reefs, tropical fish and marine life that dwell in our waters. Group rates can also be arranged. US$64.50 per person for groups of 15+. Roundtrip transportation included.

Night Diving
Experience night diving with Wayne's World of Diving - US$50 per person. For non-divers a resort course is available at US$70 inclusive per person.

Parasailing
try parasailing on the calm west coast of the island. Elevation begins at 400 ft, 600ft, 800 ft and 1000 ft.US$50 - US$100 depending on elevation.

Adventure Boat rides are available from Mullins Beach to the Northpoint Lighthouse. This is a challenging ride (not a cruise). US$50 per person.

Sky Diving
For even more excitement try sky diving from a light aircraft! Coaching is available. Prices subject to change at the discretion of the managers of the facilities.
